10 Types of Orgasms - And How to Have Them

It's no surprise we talk a lot about orgasms here at Ioba Toys - but we typically only talk about the two most known ones: clitoral and vaginal. However, there are nine other orgasms you can have. And since variety is the spice of life, why not make it your mission to try all 10 this year?

Clitoral Orgasm

A super common type of orgasm, the clitoris is a go-to for most people with a vagina. However, the clitoris is very individualistic and everyone prefers a different type of touch to orgasm. Different types of strokes (i.e. up and down, back and forth, circular) can all lead to orgasm. If one way doesn't work for you, try a different stroke or consider a clitoral sex toy, like the OhMyC to achieve climax.

G-Spot Orgasm

The G-spot orgasm is another commonly talked about orgasm. The G-spot is located on the front wall of the vagina about halfway between your vaginal opening and cervix. The key to achieving this type of orgasm, though, is that the G-spot has to be aroused in order for you or your partner to feel it. G-spot vibrators like the OhMyG can help stimulate this spot and help you achieve a G-spot orgasm.

Blended Orgasm

A blended orgasm is basically the best of both worlds since more than one erogenous zone is being stimulated at the same time. The most common type is G-spot stimulation as well as clitoral touching. However, it can also come from vaginal penetration paired with clitoral, nipple, or anal stimulation. A blended orgasm can occur both during penetrative sex or masturbation using vibrators.

Anal Orgasm

Since the anus and rectum are so close to the vagina and clitoris (they are connected by the perineum - a thin stretch of tissue), they share some of the same nerves and muscles, including the pelvic floor muscle. This muscle is super sensitive for many women and stimulating it can trigger a vaginal or anal orgasm. Anal orgasms can be achieved through penetration or using anal-safe toys.

Deep Vaginal Erogenous Zone Orgasm

In addition to the G-spot, there is also the A-spot and O-spot, which, when stimulated, can lead to a deep vaginal orgasm. The A-spot is located on the high front (or anterior) wall of the vagina, beneath the cervix. The O-spot (aka orgasm) can be found near the back wall of the vagina, almost behind the cervix.

The ligaments in these spots contain nerves that can be very sensitive for many women. To achieve this type of orgasm, a finger, toy or penis needs to fill the vagina enough at the high end of it in order to stimulate these spots. In fact, stimulating this area can cause the whole uterus to contract during an orgasm.

Squirting Orgasm

Some women, when sexually aroused or stimulated, release a fluid from urethra glands or the anterior surface of the vagina before or during orgasm. However, there is some debate over where that fluid actually comes from. "Squirting" fluid is often clear and does not resemble urine and it can be a little, or a lot! G-spot, clitoral, or double stimulation often lead to squirting orgasms.

Nipple Orgasm

Breasts and nipples are major erogenous zones - especially nipples. Because they are full of nerve endings and super sensitive, some people can have an orgasm by simply having their nipples touched or kissed.

Exercise Orgasm

Though strange-sounding, some people are able to orgasm during exercise - also known as "coregasms"; typically during core-based exercises. If you're interested in having an exercise orgasm, try super-squeezing your pelvic floor muscles to help strengthen them (also known as 'keegles'). If you have strong pelvic floor muscles and contract them during exercising, you can possibly orgasm. It might not be the strongest orgasm ever, but it'll be one!

Sleep Orgasm

You've probably had an erotic dream at least once in your life, but this is a bit different - some people can actually have orgasms during an erotic dream while sleeping. Sleep orgasms typically start with an erotic dream, which causes increased blood flow to the genitals, which can allow the body to orgasm - even while sleeping.

Multiple Orgasms

If you're a person with a vagina, you can experience multiple orgasms. People with a vagina reach a state of ecstasy with their first orgasm and can actually stay in this ecstasy with more and more stimulation. To do this, you'll need to keep contracting your pelvic muscles (aka squeezing and releasing them like you're trying to hold in pee) - which keeps blood flow high, which increases sensitivity and makes the second orgasm easier to reach.

Have you had one or more of these orgasms? Which one is your favorite?
